About the College…

Kimberley TAFE provides quality vocational education and training throughout the Kimberley region, with campuses in Kununurra, Wyndham, Halls Creek, Derby and Broome, plus an access centre in Fitzroy Crossing. There is also a purpose-built aquaculture centre in Broome.

In order to meet the unique education and training needs of the region, we deliver training to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients across the key industry areas of trades training, Indigenous community management and development, business services, tourism and hospitality, community services, horticulture, and conservation and land management, information technology, art and music, aquaculture, maritime, pastoral, language, literacy and numeracy, access and participation courses. Programs are offered from Certificate I through to Diploma level, however, Certificate I and II programs represent approximately 68% of delivery undertaken by the College -a fact which highlights the unique environment and challenges for Vocational Education and Training delivery in the Kimberley region.

In addition, the College works in close consultation with communities to identify, develop and implement quality training that has a genuine impact on the social, economic, and environmental wellbeing of the region.

We are committed to providing quality training from lecturers who are industry professionals. Our courses are designed to make you work-ready so that when you graduate you’ll have practical skills which are valued by employers and the community.
